With promotions like Bike and Stay packages in addition to daily cyclist shuttle transport, this much-needed service brings cyclists of all abilities to the fun and adventure of the Canal.

“There is something for everyone here, great local flavor, rich history, beautiful scenery and tons of attractions for both kids and adults. I fell in love with the area and quickly realized that cycle touring was one of the best ways to take it all in, however not necessarily the easiest” said Diane Kolifrath, owner of Erie Canal Bike Shuttle. “Our goal is to make it fun and easy for people to plan an exciting multi-day vacation on the Canalway trail. We’ve been designing trips for cyclists of all abilities as well as putting together an incredible pocket guide with detailed maps and merchant listings that connect visitors with accommodations, restaurants, attractions and events.”

With a variety of shuttle options and prices, and tour packages starting at $125, Erie Canal Bike Shuttle is dedicated to making the Erie Canal a vacation destination that everyone can afford. For Shuttle reservations, tour package or other cycling information, visit www.gobikeerie.com.

    Hi Diane,,
I am planning a short bike ride on the canal and would like to know if you would be able to shuttle us from Utica to our car in the Dewitt area. It would be July 9th. And could you give the cost.
    Thank you, Cindy

    Good Evening

I am writing to ask for help arranging/finding Self-Guided Erie Canal Trip on eBikes for June 2020.

My bike buddy and I are experienced. We have eBiked the Danube Passau to Bratislava; The Croatian Coast; Mediterranean to the Pyrenees to Collioure; Cumberland MD to Pittsburg PA; The Dolomites to Venice, and The Dordogne Valley .

On each of these trips we were self-guided, on Bosch technology eBikes, and had prearranged lodging with baggage shuttles. Do you have, (or can you help me find) such a trip for the Erie Canal for this June? Thank you and

    Best regards
    Mike Christensen

My self and a friend are planning in biking 3-4 days. Want flat and scenic areas we average no more than 15-20 miles a day. Want time to visit towns. We will need accommodations and gear moved to next location (shuttle?)

    Thanks.

    Ann

      Ann:
I don’t know of any shuttle services, but I would definitely look to the western section of the Canal. Towns like Fairport, Brockport, Pittsford, Palmyra, are all great towns to visit. I would reach out to bike shops in those areas for any help on shuttles.
